Applying Magnetic Nail Polish Part 2

As mentioned in my previous article there are certain magnetic nail polish that comes with magnet like the Layla and Nails Inc. – the magnet is attached to the lid. The latter, has a small ridge to be placed on the cuticle that helps in keeping the magnet steady but it is only set up for lines that are horizontal and it’s kind of difficult to turn to create other effects other than that. On the other hand, Layla is available in round shape with stripe that serves as an indicator of the magnetic field direction and can be easily pointed toward any direction to make lines. LCN necessitates you to buy a separate magnet which you can choose between sunburst or stripe pattern. If you are audacious, you need not to procure the specific magnet meant for this job, any magnet will do.

For the second coating, apply thick layer of the magnetic nail polish to one nail. Take note that it shouldn’t be dripping all over but make sure that it is thicker than the usual amount of regular nail polish that you normally apply. Then, use the magnet and make sure it doesn’t touch the wet polish.

The direction of the magnet depends on which kind of magnet you will be using. Messing up is acceptable as this is meant to create designs that are not perfect and then let it try and then apply top coat for protection.
