I enjoy painting my own nails for it saves me a trip to salon and money plus I can easily retouch it if it got damaged. But I am having some difficulty in perfecting it. So, I did some research and here are some tips to avoid smudges.
Prepare all the materials needed before you start including the nail polish remover and cotton balls so you can easily remove the applied nail polish if you don’t feel like it is the best that you can do. After choosing the nail polish color of your choice, swirls the nail polish bottle in repeated motion to lessen the clumps thus resulting to better end product. But do not shake the bottle to avoid formation of bubbles.
Then, open the nail polish and start painting your nails smoothly. Don’t be scared if you go over your nails as this will be dealt on afterwards. Set it aside for about a minute or two; apply the second coat the clear nail polish for the top coating. Wait another 5-10 minutes then get a cotton swab and dip in nail polish remover. Use this to remove the smudges around the nails to come up with a smudge-free nail polished nails.
